Code of Conduct

As a MARA-registered migration agent (Registration #2217775), ABEE'S Consultancy is bound by the Code of Conduct for Registered Migration Agents as prescribed under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth). This code governs how we interact with clients, manage their affairs, and conduct our business.
1. Our Commitment to Clients
We are committed to acting in the best interests of every client. This means:
- Providing honest, accurate, and up-to-date immigration advice
- Informing clients of all relevant visa pathways and their eligibility
- Being transparent about fees and providing written fee agreements before commencing paid services
- Keeping clients informed of the progress of their applications
- Advising clients promptly of any changes that may affect their application
2. Professional Standards
ABEE'S Consultancy maintains high professional standards by:
- Maintaining current registration with MARA and meeting Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements
- Staying current with changes in immigration law, policy, and Department of Home Affairs procedures
- Not providing false or misleading information to the Department of Home Affairs or other authorities
- Maintaining adequate professional indemnity insurance
- Not engaging in conduct that could damage the reputation of the migration advice profession
3. Confidentiality
We respect the privacy of our clients. All personal information provided to us is:
- Kept strictly confidential and securely stored
- Only disclosed to relevant authorities (e.g., Department of Home Affairs) with client consent
- Handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
4. Fees and Financial Arrangements
We commit to full transparency in our fee structures:
- Written fee agreements are provided before any paid services commence
- We provide itemised invoices for all services rendered
- Government fees (visa application charges) are clearly separated from our professional fees
- Refund policies are clearly communicated in our engagement agreements
5. Conflicts of Interest
We are committed to avoiding and disclosing conflicts of interest. We will not act for a client if there is a conflict of interest that could affect our ability to act in their best interests, unless they provide informed consent after full disclosure.
6. Complaints Process
If you have a concern or complaint about our services:
- Contact us first: Raise your concern directly with us at info@abeesconsultancy.com.au. We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 business days.
- MARA: If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) at www.mara.gov.au
