APC Intern Program — Migration Skills Assessment (GSM)
The primary pathway for overseas pharmacists applying for skilled migration. APC determines whether your pharmacy qualification is comparable to an accredited Australian Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy. A positive outcome confirms qualification comparability and supports skilled visa applications.
KAPS Exam — Knowledge Assessment of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Applicants seeking to eventually register and practise in Australia typically progress to the KAPS examination after migration assessment. KAPS assesses pharmaceutical sciences knowledge. This is separate from the migration skills assessment but is relevant for those planning a practice pathway in Australia.
Practical Assessment — CAOP
The Competency Assessment of Overseas Pharmacists (CAOP) is a further registration step for those who have passed KAPS and are working toward full pharmacist registration in Australia. It is not required for migration assessment alone but is part of the complete registration pathway.
